There are many film's that you have watched until yet. I am not a movie fan as such however, there are some movie's that I like to watch repeatedly. What is it that makes you want to watch a movie? I am pretty sure there are many of us that love watching movies but is there something that distinguishes whether the film is bad or good? Whether you want to continue watching the film or just stop because u don't like it or don't want to continue watching further?

Film opening's play an essential role to set the mood of the audience. For example, there are films which are made that target certain audiences but there are some movies that every age category enjoy watching. We watch films but did u notice that we forgot almost most of them but there are some special ones which get embedded in our memories.

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Talking about distinctive film openings, Charlie and the chocolate factory released 10 July 2005 directed by Tim Burton. He created the kind of opening scene that urges the audience to finish the whole movie or its better to say that creates a mood that urges the audience to stay hooked to the film till the end.

 . 

The song used in the opening scene has an eerie and mysterious effect that intrigues the audience to stay for long and watch the movie. It forms a curiosity in the mindset of the audience which in turn keeps the audience hooked to the film. 

Moving on from the music which I would love to say is doing its job perfectly well we'll move onto camera shots. From the opening scene you get a distinct idea of what the movie really is about. A medium shot of a factory will probably make you wonder what is happening in the factory. At 50 seconds the camera shows you what exactly the movie is about. The camera shows an extreme closeup of chocolate. the camera moves from the closeup to a vertical shot. the vertical shot is binary. binary means it is symmetrical, equal distance between the machines on either side. It makes the scene look satisfying and its very hard to maintain, it also induces a calm feeling in one's mindset.

This scene is followed by another medium shot leading to more close-ups.

 Moving forward, throughout the opening scene you will see that alot of 3D effects are used

The music remains the same throughout the opening, however the shots change from close ups to medium shots. the following one however is an aerial shot that shows the chocolate factory and its surroundings.

The cuts that are used in the opening scene are mostly invisible cuts and a lot of transitions are used which makes the opening interesting and unique.

 Only one main character is introduced  "Charlie Bucket".

The movie revolves around him and the Chocolate factory.
